ACE Schools Celebrate World Book Day!

Staff and students at ACE Schools celebrated World Book Day last week.

ACE is part of Transforming Futures Trust who provide a range of specialist educational provision across Devon and Cornwall.

At Exeter wrap around service students decorated their classroom doors with different quotes and characters from their favourite books. They also had a quiz and children completed a range of activities linked to the different books.  Some created collages of scenes from books and others made models of characters.

Jamie, one of the students at ACE said: “I enjoyed making the door because I liked doing Mr Twit’s beard with the confetti”, and Teodora, a mentor at the school said: “I loved it, we all joined in and everyone had fun”.

Matt Bindon is the Head Teacher at ACE.  He said: “The kids – and their parents as well – did a great job in celebrating World Book day.  We had people dressed up, the classrooms looked great and the staff put on a range of special activities for the children to take part in.”
